At S4AM Community Library, we believe books should remain accessible, thoughtfully shared, and available for continued learning. Our community-centered reservation model allows readers to borrow books for an extended period while helping ensure that others can also access them when needed.

Books are reserved in the order requests are received. The first person to request an available book will receive priority for a circulating copy.

When multiple copies of a book are available:

• At least one copy will remain permanently in the library for on-site reading and reference.
• The remaining copies may be reserved and borrowed by community members.
• If all circulating copies are reserved, additional requests will be added to a waiting list.

A reserved book may be borrowed for up to one year. This extended lending period supports thoughtful reading, personal study, family learning, and continued reference.

Borrowers are welcome to return books earlier so that other community members may benefit from them.

A reservation may be renewed after the initial lending period if no one else is waiting for the book.

If another community member has requested the book, the current borrower may be asked to return it so the next reader can access it. Renewal requests are confirmed based on availability and the waiting list.

When multiple copies are available, at least one copy will be designated as a permanent reference copy.

Reference copies:

• Remain at S4AM Community Library
• Are available for visitors to read and consult on-site
• Are not available for borrowing
• Help ensure continued community access even when circulating copies are reserved

Borrowers are kindly asked to:

• Keep books clean and protected
• Avoid writing, highlighting, folding pages, or causing damage
• Inform the library if a book is lost or damaged
• Return the book when the reservation ends or when requested for the next reader

Responsible care helps us preserve each book for future readers.

There is no fee to request, reserve, or borrow a book from S4AM Community Library. Access is subject to book availability and our community-sharing guidelines.

At CrossLink Ikigai and the S4AM Community Library, we believe that impact gives experience meaning. A degree is important, experience is important, and professional accomplishments matter. But what often matters most is the difference we make in our communities.

A traditional curriculum vitae shows your education, skills, and technical milestones. However, a "Real CV" expands the narrative to include our shared human footprint. It asks questions that touch the heart of community building:

• Did we help someone learn?
• Did we mentor someone?
• Did we encourage someone who was struggling?
• Did we volunteer our time?
• Did we share our knowledge?
• Did we make our community a little better than we found it?

That is the part of the CV that cannot be measured by titles or salaries. That is the part that remains in people's hearts.
